A lofty two story residence in Valencia, Negros Oriental. The residence is situated within a family compound and adjacent to the family residence of their parents. The house was designed, first, to harmonize with their parent's existing house in terms of floor area, height, roof selection and paint color. The front of the house is respectful while the rear is designed to express a family of their own, independent and grounded. The residence is technically smaller in floor area, however, this is difficult to perceive once inside. Inside, you can experience the openness of the plan, and the undisrupted sightlines encourages family interactions within the space.
